VW gets it sooooo right with it’s Theory of Fun

What’s really clever about this initiative from VW is that they’re just making simple, small scale things in the real-world. Then, they use the Internet to promote it. So there’s no real need for traditional media, meaning it’s incredibly cheap & effective. And creative. And global.

Imagine how many of these they could do annually?!

And compare this campaign to some junk that Michelin has recently done. They’ve got something like 7,000 views on YouTube, despite the fact they have 175,000 employees. (The Piano Stairs clip has 3.25M views!)

The future of advertising? I hope so.
