Thematic for WordPress
Not sure what rock I’ve been living under, but I’ve just discovered Thematic and it’s totally brilliant!
It’s super extensible, giving you access to loads of free ‘child themes’.
Plus it makes building your own theme super smooth, by providing loads of ‘hooks‘ into the WordPress functions so you can essentially contain your modifications to one ‘functions’ PHP file and a single stylesheet, whilst retaining access to free widgets, etc.
